As part of the November program of the BOO IFF, we will also focus on audience development for seniors. A focus group composed of experts, creators, and seniors will hold a workshop focused on audience design and ways to reach this audience group and how to consider them when creating audiovisual works.
The focus group will serve as a platform where viewers will provide direct feedback on films and their promotional materials. It is not just about evaluating the final film, but also about analyzing audience expectations, the influence of marketing, and communication strategies. Filmmakers will gain valuable insights into how their work resonates with senior viewers and what their expectations are.
The workshop for filmmakers will provide creators with a space to define their artistic style, learn how to communicate effectively about their films, and how to respond to reactions from different audience groups. Workshop participants will have the opportunity to discuss audience development strategies and share experiences from different approaches to promoting short films.
This output also develops the audience itself and helps viewers reflect on their perception of audiovisual content, analyze the impact of promotion, and better articulate their viewing experiences.
The project is co-financed by the governments of Czechia, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia through Visegrad Grants from the International Visegrad Fund. The mission of the fund is to advance ideas for sustainable regional cooperation in Central Europe.
