“Where are the animated films for those who have outgrown fairy tales? And when they do appear, why are there so few of them? Is it worth betting on this target audience, or is it the least loyal audience, whose interests change so quickly that it simply isn’t worth investing in an animated film for them? Is there such a thing as YOUNG ADULT SWIM?” – These were the questions that Michaela Režová (co-founder of F-A-T and host of the event) sought to answer together with our guests: producer and FAMU student Tereza Havlová (BATCH film), director and FAMU student Eliška Jirásková, director and art director Marek Náprstek, director and UMPRUM student Julie Černá, and editor-in-chief of Czech Television's online platform iVysílání Eva Rálková, who participated remotely.
The discussion was followed by a screening of a selection of animated films and informal networking over drinks.
The event’s visuals were created by animator and illustrator Barbora Halířová.
