We have wonderful news! Cinemini, an international film education project for children aged 3 to 6, has been honored with the prestigious European Art Explora Award 2025.
Specifically, the award recognizes the Cinemini Europe: Including All initiative. KRUTÓN is proud to be the Czech partner on this project, working alongside the Netherlands' Eye Filmmuseum and other leading European organizations dedicated to audiovisual education. Why "Including All"? The goal of this part of the project is to open up the world of cinema to deaf and hard-of-hearing children. Through carefully designed, playful activities, we will help them discover the language of film, unlock their creativity, and find a new space for self-expression and storytelling.
The award brought our international team financial support, which has allowed us to begin development of new inclusive tools and selection of the films that will form the backbone of these newly created educational programs.
We will be hosting the testing of these selected films and new programs here in Prague at Kino Kavalírka, in close collaboration with local kindergartens. Our primary focus during this phase is to ensure that the content is not only accessible to children with hearing disabilities, but above all, deeply engaging and inspiring for them. The created programs will also be adaptable for use outside the cinema.
