Other guests on the panel included: Tim League (founder of Metro Cinema / Alamo Drafthouse Cinema and co-founder of NEON), Victor Fraga (founder and editor of DMovies), Dennis Vetter (co-founder and artistic director of Berlin Critics’ Week), Chloé Folens (member of the La Clef Revival collective and board member of the Cinema Revival Fund), Elie de Rudder (post-production specialist and member of the La Clef Revival collective), Clément Schneider (filmmaker, producer, researcher, and former co-chair of ACID – Association du Cinéma Indépendant pour sa Diffusion), and Luis Felipe Raguá (program advisor for Cinemateca de Bogotá and IDFA, and programmer for Lichter Filmfest Frankfurt International and Alternativa Film Festival).
Within this diverse group, we discussed possibilities and strategies for engaging with audiences — how to attract viewers, how to connect with them through specific programs, and how to continue with this work in the long run. Each guest contributed expertise from a different field — Radka, specifically, shared our knowledge of working with young audiences, a field in which KRUTÓN has been active for over 10 years.
Both the discussion and the festival were inspiring, and we are leaving with many interesting ideas and newly established contacts.
