The Tale of a Tail tells the story of a group of children led by their leader, Vulpes, who finds himself on the brink of adulthood and facing a daunting task. Together with the children, he sets off into the wilderness just beyond the village to hunt for the fox’s tail – an artefact that has been passed down from generation to generation within the local community. Vulpes realises that, in order to become an adult, he must teach the children to believe in the magic of miracles. And ultimately, he must become the one who creates that miracle – in the form of the mythical tail – for the younger generation himself.
