Two people, one restaurant, a few prejudices, some fish and a lot of mistakes. First date jitters are quickly dispelled by a spontaneous kiss. But what follows is an unexpected confession. A young girl must quickly decide how to react to the situation. Meanwhile, a waiter asks for a Yelp review. The situation is becoming intensely uncomfortable for everyone. The film by successful young director Marleen Valien bravely builds the awkwardness to the point of bearability while presenting important themes. Above all, it makes us think about how we would react in such a moment.
The film was awarded Best Student Short Film at the Denver Film Festival, Best Short Film at the Miami Film Festival and Best Foreign Short Film at the Dream City International Film Festival in Rivne.
