What is fascism? A reporter for a fictional television station, originally from Ukraine, visits various events, actors and public protests in an attempt to understand Slovak socio-political reality. She encounters the inability of people to reflect their own language and history and captures the heated social mood leading to the emergence of a new authoritarianism. The documentary essay holds up a mirror not only to contemporary Slovakia, but also to neighbouring countries that may soon suffer a similar fate.
The film was nominated for the Short Joy Award for Best Short Documentary at the Ji.hlava 2023 International Documentary Film Festival.
